Smashing workplace taboos with real stories

At Oliva, we needed to position ourselves as thought leaders on mental health at work. By telling bold, raw stories about highly stigmatised topics, we quickly grabbed people’s attention and made a name for our brand in the space. And by getting the business leaders we interviewed to share their stories on LinkedIn, we generated thousands of page views on the Oliva website—our articles went viral multiple times.

I oversaw the content pipeline as Editor-in-chief, managed a team of freelance writers, and contributed stories myself. I also defined how we’d approach each type of article, curated the stories, and sourced the interviewees. I advised on the design of the main Content Hub page too, collaborating with a designer to create a quality, editorial feel.
