Oliva Talks

From zero to TED in two months

Oliva Talks was a series of live and recorded TED-style talks on hot topics related to mental wellbeing. Oliva had no prior experience doing this kind of project, so I set everything up from scratch: defining the topics and tone, hiring a speaking coach, and setting up the entire process from curating speakers to recording their talks. I found each speaker, worked with them to define an angle, and helped them develop the structure and content of their talks. I also co-ordinated production with an agency and hosted the live Q&A segments.

Oliva had never done a project like this before. But within three months, we were recording a talk with a new speaker every two weeks. Despite having almost no budget for speaker fees, I managed to book some people with big followings (e.g. Alex Partridge, 144k LI followers and Ellie Middleton, 282k LI followers). Oliva Talks became a big USP for the product and massively increased our brand’s authority in the employee wellbeing space.
